The Jasper Dental Congress is an annual professional development event for
Alberta’s dental community: dentists, specialists, dental assistants, and
dental hygienists. The conference will be held May 27 through May 30, 2010 in
Jasper, Alberta at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge and Jasper Activity Centre.
Congress Activities include:
Scientific Sessions
Takes place over four days at the Jasper Activity Centre. These cover
a wide range of subjects targeted at each of the delegate groups. Over 15
sessions are held over the four days.
Technology Fair
Over 90 vendor booths promoting a wide range of products and services to the
dental industry.
Social Activities
Welcome Event
This event will be held at the Fairmont Jasper Park
Lodge. It allows delegates to get reacquainted with old friends and
colleagues.
Exhibitor Wine & Cheese
The first day of scientific sessions wraps up with a casual reception for
Exhibitors and delegates in the Technology Fair area at the Jasper Activity
Centre. Meet and relax with fellow congress delegates and get the opportunity
to talk to exhibitors over complimentary wine and hors d’oeuvres.
Friday Evening Event
Delegates and guests gather for an evening of dinner and entertainment
at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge.
Saturday Evening Gala
Delegates and guests enjoy a themed evening, which includes a
spectacular buffet and dancing. In 2009, the event was “A Night of Fairy Tales”
theme. Watch for details on the 2010 theme.
Golf tournament
Over 130 golfers will challenge the award-winning course at the Fairmont Japer
Park Lodge. This event takes place on Thursday, May 27.
Peak Experiences
A popular series of activities for delegates’ partners and spouses.
This year’s activities will include a mix of courses to “peak” the interest of
all.
Day camp
Horseback riding, skateboarding, swimming and crafts are only some of
the activities scheduled for kids on Friday and Saturday.
War Canoe Races
Teams of ten rowers compete for supremacy on the waters of Lac Beauvert at the
Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. A favorite with participants and spectators alike.
Fun/run walk
One of the most popular Congress events. People walked, jogged or ran
around the picturesque trails at Lac Beauvert at the Jasper Park Lodge.
